Steps to Freedom
We all know that there are many strongholds that keep people in a state of hopelessness. They struggle in vain to break out of longstanding patterns of thinking and behaviour. After years of negative thinking or sinful living they give up all hope that things will ever change. Some of these people hear that there is a solution after all and give us a call. It has been our privilege for more than 20 years to teach biblical principles of freedom and to help people to apply these to their situations. This application is called Steps to Freedom and we are pleased to serve those who ask to "go through Steps."
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
We love to demolish strongholds with the spiritual weapons provided by God.
STEPS TO FREEDOM
This is an encounter with God
usually lasting 4 or 5 hours.
A mature Christian, trained as a facilitator,
helps another believer
work through spiritual issues
using a 7 step process.
Each Step deals
with a key area:
godly guidance vs. counterfeit
truth vs. deception
forgiveness vs. bitterness
submission vs. rebellion
humility vs. pride
freedom from habitual sins
generational sins.
Each Step involves
confessing,
renouncing
and submitting to God.
The event includes the support
of one or two people
who are present to pray.
The emphasis is also on
applying this process
to daily Christian living.
The goal is to walk in freedom.

insightful quote

Man's Search for Meaning:
from Viktor E. Frankl in his book
Man's Search for Meaning:
"We who lived in concentration camps
can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others,
giving away their last piece of bread.
They may have been few in number,
but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing; the last of the human freedoms
- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances,
to choose one's own way."
(FIC revised version: "to choose God's way.")

When we are
caught in a spiritual stronghold
we feel powerless to make the right choice.
This is one of the deceptions of the enemy that brings about hopelessness.
God enables us to choose submission to Him.
