How to develop a freedom ministry

How to Develop a Freedom Ministry

Jesus said "The truth will set you free." (John 8:32)
In order to gain our freedom we must know the truth.
One effective way to help more people to KNOW the truth
is to establish a study group
using The Freedom In Christ Small Group Bible Study DVD series.
There are 12 thirty-minute sessions.
The group could meet for 12 weeks
(or 6 weeks with two DVD sessions each week).

Freedom From Anxiety Workshops

Anxiety is on the rise, sad to say.  More and more people who call LFM and come for spiritual care have struggles with anxiety.  We have found Neil Anderson's book Finding Freedom from Fear to be an excellent resource.  Using materials from the book and from our own experience, we put together a workshop called Finding Freedom from Anxiety.  The workshop is about 6 hours long in total and includes some opportunity for participants to pray privately through anxiety related issues in their lives.   We have now taught the workshop 3 times.  The first one was hosted by Trinity Baptist Church in Winnipeg in the spring of 2015.  The second one was held at the Nassau Street Church in Winnipeg in the fall of 2015.  The third one was hosted by the Steinbach Mennonite Brethren Church in February of 2016.  In total 92 people have participated in these 3 workshops.   Information from the most recent brochure is given below.

Worry, Fear, Anxiety

Do you worry a lot?
Does someone you know
struggle with anxiety?

Anxiety is a thief! It steals hope, joy, faith, peace, sleep and energy! It affects many areas of life, including concentration, relationships, work and health.

Jesus says “Don’t worry!”  Is that really possible?  This workshop will show you how to become free of anxiety by applying biblical principles.  There is a path to living in peace and joy!

Do you have a family member or friend who is anxious?  Come and gain some tools for helping them.  Better yet, ask that person to join you for this event, and be a support to them as they deal with their anxiety.   If you worry a lot or are an anxious person please come! Consider bringing a mentor who can encourage you in your recovery journey.

About the presenters:

Ken and Carolee Neufeld live in Winnipeg and attend Grace Bible Church. Their life work has included public school teaching, camp directing, church planting and pastoral team ministry.

For more than 20 years they have led biblical seminars across Canada on freedom from negative and destructive patterns. They have done many one-day forgiveness workshops, particularly in Manitoba and the Maritime provinces.

As they meet with people desiring spiritual help, they find many are affected by worry and anxiety and are in need of biblical teaching and a personal time of in-depth prayer to become free.  Maintaining freedom involves renewing the mind and establishing new patterns of thought and behaviour.
