2019
February: Our new book comes out - Forgiveness, Finding Freedom and Healing. This is the second book in the Anchor Series.
2018
November: The board of Living Free Ministries meets to review the year.
October: We train leaders of Teen Challenge in Winnipeg. The goal is for staff to effectively use Steps to Freedom and related discipleship materials with their residents. Steps to Freedom is a guide for praying through spiritual issues and bondages, including addictions.
September: Carolee speaks at a weekend retreat of women from the Steinbach Mennonite Brethren Church. She focuses on our identity as children of God and how to overcome negative thinking through renewing our minds with God's Word.
Summer and Fall: A time of writing. We put the forgiveness teaching into a book that will become the second one in the "Anchor Series."
August: Our Finding Freedom through Forgiveness workshop is taken to Africa by Dr. James Okot and a team.
We were invited to do this with them, but chose to support them in prayer instead, since we have another major commitment. They had translated our workbook into French, Swahili and Lingala and 6000 copies were printed. The team hosted 2 workshops in the Democratic Republic of Congo and 2 in a Uganda. These events were directed at leaders who could then pass on the teaching to others. In attendance were pastors, bishops, police and cabinet ministers. One government leader said, "This is exactly what we need."
April: We teach the Finding Freedom through Forgiveness workshop at Calvary Temple for the African congregation, with the help of a French interpreter. Pastor James Okot shares his story of being tortured and choosing to forgive his tormentors.The leaders are begin translating the workbook into French and African languages in preparation for a ministry trip to Africa.
March: We lead an Overcoming Anxiety workshop at Fort Richmond Baptist Church in Winnipeg. Their youth group is part of it.
March: At Camp Arnes, about 75 minutes north of Winnipeg, we present the Overcoming Anxiety workshop for the staff.
February: The board of Living Free Ministries meets and chooses new officers.
February: We teach an Overcoming Anxiety workshop in Altona about 90 minutes south of Winnipeg, at the Evangelical Mennonite Mission Church. March: At Camp Arnes, about 75 minutes north of Winnipeg, we present the Overcoming Anxiety workshop for the staff.
February: The board of Living Free Ministries meets and chooses new officers.
January: We present a Saturday workshop at Calvary Temple in downtown Winnipeg on Finding Freedom through Forgiveness. A number of the people registered are from the their African congregation that worships in French. One of the leaders is very excited about the workbook and teaching, saying that exactly this is needed in Congo because of the great atrocities that Christians need to forgive in order to find healing from trauma. A team undertakes to translate the material.
January: Our book Overcoming Anxiety, Anchored in the Word, is reprinted. It is available in most bookstores of Manitoba, also in some stores in the four western provinces and PEI.
January: We facilitate and complete a 13-week discipleship course at Foresight Ministries, a congregation in Winnipeg, using material by Dr. Neil T. Anderson and Steve Goss.
